A police dispatch Rider with the Transport Department at the Police Headquarters, Corporal Rauf Addrisu has crashed to death.
Rauf Addrisu was leading a convoy from Accra to Kumasi when he met his untimely death after a head-on collision with a Grandbird VIP bus with registration number GW 9944-10.
The suspect driver Samuel Boateng aged 44 years on reaching a section of the road close to the Osino Police station on the Accra-Kumasi highway, failed to observe traffic ahead.
In the process, he crashed head-on with Corporal Rauf Addrisu who was riding Honda motorcycle No. GP 4710 and leading a convoy to Kumasi.
Corporal Rauf Addrisu died on the spot.
The remains of Corporal Rauf Addrisu have been deposited at the Enyirise Government Hospital whiles the driver has been detained to assist in the investigation.
