Davido Donates GHC 3.75 Million To Orphanages Across Nigeria

On Saturday 20th November 2021, award-winning singer David Adeleke with the music stage name ‘Davido’ announced Ghc 3.75 million donations to orphanages across Nigeria.
Breaking the news on his Instagram page, the singer said the money came from his GHC 1.5 million challenge on his birthday, which raked in GHC 3 million in three days. He then decided to add GHC 750,000 to the donation from fans and colleagues, bringing the total to GHC 3.75 million

On Wednesday 17th November 2021, David asked his friends and fans to donate GHC 15,000 each for his birthday. With a set target of GHC 1.5 Million, Davido received over GHC 790,000 cash transfers in less than one hour and GHC 3 million in three days
Following the successful contribution, the singer decided to set up an indisputable five-person committee to oversee equitable disbursement of the funds to orphanages. He promised that their activities would be made public to ensure transparency and accountability.
