A Russian man is hailed as a hero for killing his friend after seeing a video of his 8-year-old daughter being raped by his friend.
An Australian news site news.com.au earlier on reported the story. The news portal said that Sviridov had been a babysitter for the girl on numerous occasions and allegedly sexually abused her multiple times.
The father of the 8-year-old girl, who was unidentified, was drinking with his longtime pal Oleg Sviridov when he saw the horrifying footage on Sviridov’s phone. He immediately confronted Sviridov, who ran away before he could act.
Police launched a search for Sviridov, but the furious father found him first and allegedly stabbed him to death. In his police statement, the attacker claimed Sviridov “stumbled on the knife during a quarrel” in a forest near their village.
Police are also investigating the alleged sexual abuse of three other children filmed on Sviridov’s mobile. Meanwhile, Villagers and online commenters say the dad, who the police have detained, is a hero and should not face murder charges because he was protecting his daughter and other children. Everyone is on his side.
