A special event was held at Tap Hotel to honour and appreciate the efforts of last year’s winners of the Happy Man Bitters U/E Music Awards and Miss Upper East. Mr. Bortey Borketey took the opportunity to address the young creatives, particularly musicians, from the region and emphasized the importance of investing in their craft and leveraging available platforms to make their music heard globally. He firmly believes that the Upper East Region is brimming with talent, and with the right push and motivation, these creatives will make their mark on the world stage.

The Happy Man, Upper East Music Awards winners, received substantial cash prizes. The Overall Artist of the Year 2022 took home GHC $20,022. The Most Popular Song of the Year winner was awarded GHc 5,000; the Best New Act received GHc 2,000 of a promised monthly stipend of GHc 500 for the year. The Gospel Songs of the Year winner was honoured with GHc 4,000.

Similarly, the Miss Upper East pageant winner was awarded GH 12,000, while the first runner-up received GH 7,000. Charger Limited’s commitment to recognizing and supporting the talents of young women in the region is unwavering.
