A special event was held at Tap Hotel to honour and appreciate the efforts of last year’s winners of the Happy Man Bitters U/E Music Awards and Miss Upper East. The Happy Man, Upper East Music Awards winners, received substantial cash prizes. The Overall Artist of the Year 2022 took home GHC $20,022. The Most Popular Song of the Year winner was awarded GHc 5,000; the Best New Act received GHc 2,000 of a promised monthly stipend of GHc 500 for the year. The Gospel Songs of the Year winner was honoured with GHc 4,000.
