Concentrate On Managing The Taxes At The Municipal Level; Navrongo Central MP Jabs MCE

The member of Parliament for Navrongo Central Constituency, Hon Sampson Tangombu Chiragia, jabs the MCE for Kassena/Nankana municipal, Hon. Joseph Adongo to focus on managing the taxes at the municipal level and allow him to do his job in Parliament. This jab came a day after the MCE used the recent brawl in Parliament between the majority and minority caucus to admonish the Navrongo MP not to engage in any boxing in Parliament this year.

Hon. Sampson responding to a question posed by the host of Pure FM, Stanislaus Pwadura, on his take on the MCE’s comment, said, “Joseph Adongo is not a politician. He does not have what it takes to be a politician. He should concentrate on managing the taxes at the Municipal level and let me also do my work in Parliament.”

The MP went further to state that it will be needless to respond to some of the political comments made by the MCE until the NPP in Navrongo gets a viable parliamentary candidate to contend him.

In another strand, the MP spoke about his achievements in his one year in office. These include procuring and installing 200 Street Lights, drilling Seven (7) Boreholes at Pindaa, Yua, Naaga-Chaaba and other communities, breast cancer screening, and treating women diagnosed with breast cancer across 39 Health Facilities, refurbished Korania and Nyangua CHPS Compounds, construction of Ultra-Modern Dressmaking Centre, Organized certificated IT Skills Training for some 179 constituents among others.
