Ensure Transparency In Choosing Deserving Winners of Upper East Music Awards; Organizers Charged.

One love entertainment, Organizers of Happy-Man bitters upper east music awards, officially unveiled the 3rd edition of the event on 11th September 2021 under the theme \”Our Music Lives By Us, For Us.\” 

The prestigious award scheme powered by Happy Man Bitters aims at realizing the dreams of musicians and every prominent role player in the upper east music industry. The year under review for HMB-UEMA 2021 is from 1/10/2020 to 30/09/2021. Nominations start from 11/09/2021 to 11/10/2021 through https://uppereastmusicawards.org, and voting will commence on 1/11/2021 to 2/12/2021.

In his speech on the official launch, Mr. Edward Anafo, representative of Happy-Man bitters, urged organizers to ensure transparency and inclusiveness in arriving at the winners of this year\’s edition. \’Ensure that artiste and artiste managers are satisfied with the outcome of the awards\”, he stated. He further emphasized the commitment of Happy-Man Bitters in pushing talents from the upper east region to the national level.

In his opening speech, the CEO/Founder of One Love Entertainment, Kabu Banks, said there were lapses and incomplete projects in the previous event, but they are still working on completing them. He Unveiled 23 categories for the 3rd edition and urged all artiste and industry players to carefully understand each category before filing their nomination to avoid misunderstanding.

Kabu Banks also elaborated on the GHC 20,000 prize announced earlier by the sponsor, Dr. Emmanuel Bortey Borketey, to the ultimate winner, that it is not take-home pocket money but meant for a series of projects under the supervision of the organizers to make the artiste a national icon. Other incentives include Flat-screen Tv, music video shoot, cash prizes, and yet-to-be-confirmed packages from different sponsors.

Reverend Father Emmanuel, the guest of honor of the program, also entreated musicians, videographers, and photographers to package their content in a way that portrays the culture and good image of the Upper East region. He further stated that every industry player must put in the effort to shape the region positively for the next generation.
